Alan was born in Glassglow, Scotland and moved to Canada at the age of 10.

Both the power of change in his life and his personal experience led him to become an addictions worker, an ordained minister and a prison chaplain. He has developed strategies to reach youth who do not respond well to traditional forms of support; reaching the most vulnerable youth of society. Alan is the lead guitarist and vocals for Living Rock’s house band, VOID. (Learn more about VOID here)

Alan helps youth connect spiritually by showing them that God is accessible and relevant, and not just an old forgotten tradition. One of Alan’s key messages is that God has a special place in His heart for the fatherless.

The vision placed in Alan’s heart became a reality in 1985, as he started Living Rock Ministries. You can find out more about Alan’s life by reading his biography and the history of Living Rock Ministries in the book “The Living Rock: Between Me & a Hard Place” by Alan Craig and Suzie Chiodo.
